In this episode of the Breakout with Newt Gingrich podcast, Newt describes how
Duolingo is changing the way in which we learn a new language. Duolingo currently
offers users the opportunity to learn six different languages, including Spanish and
French. What makes Duolingo truly remarkable is that it is 100% free to use. Users
learn a new language by moving from one level to another through a series of games
and challenges. These games and challenges are designed to keep the user involved
in the language they are attempting to learn. Duolingo has become so popular that
Apple chose the Duolingo app as the iPhone App of the Year in 2013. There are
currently 1.2 million apps in the iPhone App Store, which shows just how impressive
the Duolingo app is and how many users rely on Duolingo as their main source for
learning a new language.
