In this episode of the Breakout with Newt Gingrich podcast, Newt discusses the results of the 2014 midterm elections. President Obama and the Democratic Party were handed a big loss last Tuesday. The Republicans took control of the United States Senate and added to their majority in the House of Representatives. Republicans also won gubernatorial races in the deep blue states of Illinois, Maryland and Massachusetts. Incoming Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell, who won his re-election race handily, along with Speaker John Boehner, will have the opportunity to deal from an increased position of strength when negotiating with President Obama over the issue of approving the Keystone XL Pipeline, as well as immigration and the economy.
