In this Transition Awareness Breathing Podcast episode, we will talk about the awareness that life is not 2 Dimensional. Life is multidimensional. We do not have to worry about UFO or alien beings coming from a faraway planet. Coming to Earth to discover what humans are like. What would they see? What would they say? What if we look at ourselves from an outside perspective? Just like an alien, would what would we observe and discover? How does humankind interact with each other? I think it would be helpful to realize that we are among others that are different than ourselves. And yet we have similar goals. We react to changes in our environment. We suffer losses and desire comfort. Some view death as a part of life—the pre-beginning—the loss of something to stimulate something new. The sense of loss brings our persona to a state of now and a reality check. The Kubler-Ross model introduced in the late ’60s helped explain the stages of grief in reaction to loss. I wonder if the model does justice in considering differences in culture, religion, and perceptions about death. Moving through grief allows healing. When we move through the change, we reflect on what we experienced – like it was either a nightmare, fairy tale, or a mind-boggling drama. What is important is we got through it.
