Find out what the United States is doing right. The United States moved up three points on the World Happiness Report to the 16th happiness country in the world. Americans can be satisfied with being in the top twenty. However, there is room to grow. How can the United States advance to the top 10 of the World Happiness Report? Does our society gauge success on wealth and power? The road to happiness is not measured in currency or strength of influence. Join me as we uncover and explore how to learn from the World Happiness Report and improve the USA happiness score. The world happiness score does not measure jovial or how well a comedian a person can drive an audience to unbridled laughter. What it does measure is the quality of life elements – people’s perceptions of cultural values system, goals, expectations, sense of security, freedoms, well-being in religious expression, leisure values, and social relationships. It measures Maslow’s hierarchy of needs results when lower needs are satisfied. But how does society measure the higher level of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs? I will share how Finland uses data to respond to societal gaps in this podcast. Jme, I will uncover results of how mental health, drug use, and alcohol have played a role in the highest-ranking country on the World Happiness Report. This information suggests that Americans have an opportunity to learn how to contribute to improving the World Happiness Score in our part of the world.
