A Practice On Mindfulness Photography

Eartha Powell

Spring is coming. It is just around the corner. If you are curious and ready for a mindfulness adventure, join me on a photography, mindfulness photography shoot. My resources and motivation for our episode today come from positivepsychology.com. Mindfulness is more than concentrating on the breath. Breath is an essential element of mindfulness in transition awareness breathing. My goal is to guide you through incorporating and sustaining your mindfulness practice in your everyday life and soul part of life. We are so busy getting through the day. Join me in this episode that addresses how to focus on your emotion and your awareness of the now through photography.

  • Stir up your curiosity just like it’s your first camera.
  • Find a place where you can take pictures that is meaningful and essential to you. Be creative and flexible.
  • Please take a moment and consider your feelings when looking at your picture’s subject.
  • Take pictures at different times of the day.
  • Look at the image and look for a picture within the picture. Look at your picture in four quadrants sections and look for a surprise.
  • When looking at that portions of your picture, please pay attention to the feelings and emotions you are experiencing. What does it mean to you? What does it make it personal?
  • Practice is the next step. If you are not happy with your picture, then please try again. This is the positive mindset part of mindfulness that we are bringing to the mindful positive mindset part.
  • Get your pictures developed or printed and frame them.
