Having discussed the Identity dimension of the Strategic Framework and its two components, Purpose and Core Values, we can now spring from that foundation and work on the Direction dimension, consisting of vision, strategies, andactions. But first you need to get your bearings before starting your journey. That is what conducting a Situational Analysis is all about. The intent of the analysis is to allow you and your leadership team to engage in quality thinking and interacting to identify the critical few areas of strategic focus that you need to work on. The areas of strategic focus that you identify become the bedrock of what I call a translatable, actionable vision.
