There are two main characters in this book: Linda Hemmer and Arnold Buch. Linda is the main character, and she is our warrior. Linda is the good and emphatic character who gets broken down and ripped apart. She is the heartbeat of the story. Arnold is the protector. He is the strong man in a storm. With all the terrible things that happen throughout the story he is the bit of light. His relationship with his wife and the people around him makes us smile and help gets us through the hard parts.
Bodies are found buried in the woods, all of them with wings carved into the skin on their backs. Young women murdered, all looking the same and around the same age. All but one. The latest victim appears to be considerably older than the rest. She also seems to be the only one who was stabbed and buried alive.
When Arnold sees her, his whole world stops. He recognizes her. He also knows that this means the Angel Maker is back. A serial killer is out there looking for his angel, the one that Arnold took from him years ago.
The book is not for the faint of heart. However, the book contains humor, lots of it, but it is not a happy story. It is not uplifting, and it could be hard for some people to read. If you are not in a good place mentally, then this might not be the story for you.
