“I think every working mom probably feels the same thing: You go through big chunks of time where you’re just thinking, this is impossible – oh, this is impossible. And then you keep going and going, and you sort of do the impossible” – Tina Fey

As a working mom and business owner for my kids’ entire lives, juggling my professional and personal life is always a challenge and something to be mindful of. After I had my kids and immediately went back to work, I had no idea the guilt and overwhelm that was possible. There is no way to prepare for the child’s schedule and your schedule. It can be challenging, but it is doable with the right team.
In today’s episode, we will discuss the importance of adjusting your mindset for exercise during pregnancy & postpartum and adjusting to the “mom” lifestyle & demands.
About Jordan Searles:
During her pregnancy, Jordan felt lost trying to figure out how to continue exercising while also keeping her body and baby safe.
Even with her education to become a certified gym teacher and holding the Guinness Book World Record for the best time, she accomplished a one-mile-long record for women earlier this year.
She wishes she had someone to connect with who could have guided her through the different stages and feelings of what it took to exercise during pregnancy and postpartum.
This motivated her to get her pre-and postnatal training specialist certification while on maternity leave with her son, Cameron. Through her knowledge and personal experience, she aims to educate women on prenatal and postpartum exercise and advocate for overall prenatal/postnatal women’s health.
