Kasim Sulton first made his mark in music as a member of Utopia, along with Todd Rundgren, Roger Powell and Willie Wilcox. In the 1980s he went to play as a member of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, then became Meatloaf’s bandleader among many other credits. Today, the gifted bassist/vocalist is a member of Blue Oyster Cult, but he also has a new solo album out entitled “3.” Filled with the sort of rich, well-crafted pop songs that he has built his reputation on, “3” also features appearances by his three former bandmates in Utopia. Chris and Kasim discuss the album along with the whole of Kasim’s career on this week’s “Music.”=
