Inside Cosmetic Surgery Today with Barry Lycka MD

Dr. Barry Lycka is a recognized North American expert in cosmetic, laser, reconstructive and liposuction surgery. Whatever your cosmetic problem – he would love to help you. Author of the best-selling book – Restoring Youth – which has just completing its fourth edition, he has just completed his new books SkinWorks and How To Choose The Perfect Doctor For Your Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Lycka is recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta as a specialist in Dermatology.

Dr. Lycka frequently shares his knowledge of cosmetic surgery at international symposia such as the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology And Aesthetic Surgery (ASCDAS), for which he served formerly as vice president in 2004-2006. Dr. Lycka is also the founder of the Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation and the Ethical Cosmetic Surgery Association. He is developing the Internet’s foremost site for health and wellness advice, www.WellandWiseOnline.com. He is also medical advisor to the Phoenix Renewal Centre and Spa.

Dr. Lycka operates an approved Non-hospital Surgical Facility approved by the College of Physicians of Alberta at First Edmonton Place in Edmonton. In doing so, he places patient safety paramount. Doctor Lycka is also a member of the esteemed American Society of Surgical Professors (the teachers of the teachers) and is one of the few Canadians to join this erudite group.

He’s been happily married for 30 years to Lucie Bernier-Lycka, a family physician. They have four daughters and recently became grandparents to a beautiful baby girl.
