Eddie openly discusses his experiences and achievements despite the challenges posed by his condition. He shares his amazing journey which includes overcoming medical procedures and learning to live with neurofibromatosis, including running marathons and becoming an ambassador for the Neurofibromatosis Foundation. Through his story, Eddie hopes to inspire others with disabilities to pursue their passions and lead fulfilling lives.
About Eddie Purtell: Born with NF type 1 diagnosed at birth, Eddie grew up in Milwaukee, WI. He ran 14 half marathons (11 of which were for Children’s Tumor Foundation) and 1 marathon (also for CTF) and helped raise over $130,000 for CTF. Hobbies include skiing, biking, and hiking.
