We start by identifying three types of people we tend to see doing this type of work:
Seekers (people who are looking to level up, to take the next step in moving toward their vision)
Shifters (people who know that they have more in them but need to shift their way of being in order to get there)
The Stuck ones (people feel that they are a victim of their circumstances and are just stuck and want to find a way out)
Starting with the stuck-ers, who often are asking ‘Why me?“ We talk about how to start seeing events as neutral. Things are neither good or bad (that’s just the judgement we make about them). When we see events as neutral then we can do something with that.
The key point is that you always have a choice. You can choose to see life as oppressing you, or you can choose to see it as neutral and something about which you can have a choice about. Because without choice, we are always reacting, and reactions come from our history, not the current moment. Reactions are our knee-jerk actions – the things we do without thinking. A response is a choice based on what you want in your life. So you can be feeling like a victim, and then choose to take an action that moves you forward despite your circumstances. Our mantra for this action is “Stop, Breathe, Choose.”
