Connie’s motivational quote of the day is by, ~ Osho
“Nothing kills the ego like playfulness, like laughter. When you start taking life as fun, the ego has to die, it cannot exist anymore.”

How many of you saw the movie The Matrix? If you missed it – the story revolves around a character called NEO who wakes up from what seems to be his ordinary life and joins forces with other rebels like Morpheus and Trinity, to over throw the Matrix. The movie was a pop culture phenomenon, creating buzz and new thought about how we see ourselves in the world.
Today’s guest writes, “The Ego is not who we are. It’s a mental program, like a computer code, enabling us to function in the world—a sensory code giving us the illusion of individuality—an utterly false “REALITY” similar to what’s presented in the movie the Matrix.”
What? Are we living in a false reality like Neo did in the Matrix. This poses such an interesting question, what is reality and why does everything seem to be spinning out of control lately. Are we waking up from a dream state?
Today, your host Connie Whitman, speaks with Cate Montana who is going to dig deep with us about ego, why we behave the way we do, and how we can have better control over our chosen reality.
Cate is no casual movie buff – she brings her ideas to us with master’s degree in humanistic psychology and writes and teaches about the ego, transpersonal and transcendent consciousness, quantum physics and evolution, and other credits.
She writes for Psychology Today, the UK publication What Doctors Don’t Tell You and blogs for The Huffington Post.
