Today may people criticize America as being seriously flawed with a history of systemic racism and greed.  These same critics deny that God has blessed and prospered America in order to establish freedom around the world.  Most of these critics condemn capitalism and advocate for world-wide socialism as the ideal government.  These critics are wrong, and their plans and philosophies must be opposed.

The 1619 Project seeks to paint America as being founded on the backs of slavery.  This approach attempts to erase that part of our history about people who came to America for religious reasons.  Beginning with the colonists who came to America on the Mayflower, many colonists came here for religious reasons—and slavery was not a part of this foundation.  Similarly, the men who established the Constitution were God-fearing men who sought to do God’s will in establishing a government that guaranteed the blessings of liberty for all.  America is the nation spoken of in biblical prophecies where the Lord would raise an ensign to the nations from the top of the mountains, which would be the base for God’s operations to prepare a people for the Lord’s Second Coming.

If we are to help America to achieve its divine destiny to preserve liberty for Americans and to help bring freedom to other peoples around the world, then we must not buy into the view that America was and is defective and evil, but rather we must acknowledge God as the source of our blessings and prosperity in the past, and our hope for the future.
